For most weddings, gale force winds and pelting rain pretty much become the ultimate mood killer.

But for some reason, it only made James + Elyce’s wedding in the Barossa Valley only more epic. From Elyce’s stunning Paolo Sebastian gown to the wild backdrop of Hentley Farm in South Australia, from start to finish there wasn’t a dull moment. Despite me getting blown around by the wind during the portrait session (while Elyce’s hair stayed immaculate, go figure!) and getting all my gear absolutely drenched by the rain later that evening, this has to be, hands down, one of my favourite weddings of 2016.

And as the year draws to a close, I want to take this opportunity to thank all my lovely couples and their families for having me as part of their day, however small, epic, quiet, loud, rainy, windy or absolutely perfect they were.

Thank you.

And a major thank you to my amazing partner Eric Ronald for shooting this alongside me.
